Just last week we hosted our 4th Celebrity Pro-Am Golf Classic. We started two years ago with 6 teams and 3 celebrities and have now grown to a field of 21 teams of 4 including 18 celebrities, 8 professionals and 58 amateurs. The event was hosted over 3 rounds, played at The Almenara, San Roque (new) and Finca Cortesin courses here in Southern Spain. For our overseas players, accommodation was included in the price for 4 nights.
Our main sponsor, Landsbanki Luxembourg put their name to this event and also our next event which is taking place from 30th September-2nd October. We also have several other supporting sponsors, including Valle Romano, REM FM, Greenland Securities, Living in Spain TV, Eye Candy Caddies and many more.
We also supported 2 charities, Save the Children and Sun & Happiness, which is a new charity set up to bring under-privileged children from the UK to holiday in Spain for a week a year. So far they have secured in excess of 20 properties to use and we raised in excess of €6,000 from the 3 days golf and auction.
The event was a huge success and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, with scores ranging from the very good to average. Prizes were awarded for the best 3 teams during the course of the week, together with longest drive and nearest the pin competitions held on each course. Together with these prizes, we also offered a prize for the best pair on each day and “special” hole in one prizes were on offer on 2 of the days. One of these was a property at Valle Romano and the other a plot of land in Brazil. A classic Mercedes car for the day was the other prize for a “drive for a drive” on Day 1.
We have a dvd that we will be distributing shortly, where we will be compiling the best (and worst) bits of the week, together with the presentation dinner where we hosted in excess of 150 people, who enjoyed comedy, song and great food. Please contact us for a copy.

We are hoping that the majority of these celebrities will be joining us again for our next event and we are also hoping to attract others from the world of cricket and entertainment.
An additional event that I am working on at present is a 4 way event, pitting teams from the worlds of football, rugby, cricket and entertainment against each other, with 6 celebrities playing with 12 amateurs in each team.
