The tournament was on the 6th, 7th and 8th March at La Reserva, San Roque and Finca Cortesin. The celebrities included the 1998 World Cup England manager, Glenn Hoddle He was also joined by the likes of John Gorman, Assistant Manager for England in 1998, and David Speedie, former player of Chelsea, Liverpool and Leicester. Other sporting heroes from the football hall of fame such as Vinny Samways, Mark Draper, Gary Gillespie, Derek Statham, Tony Grealish and Les O´Neil made up the teams. Participants lucky enough to get a Hole in One could have won a fabulous Z4 BMW supplied by Ultimate Challenge. Sorry too say the car remains the property of the organizers.
On Day One, La Reserva was in excellent shape, as usual & a great day of golf was had by all.
The weather was slightly un seasonal for March, with a damp start at San Roque on Day 2, although this did not dampen our participants as some excellent scores were fired, especially from the current tournament leaders, Sotogolfers who, did have a slight advantage over the rest of the fields as some of the team are members at the San Roque Club.

Some may say that the decision to ask the pro's to play of the black (back) tees on Day 3 at Finca Cortesin may have being slightly controversial, which in fact proved to be difficult, as a swirling wind made this course as long as its states, but the greens were in excellent condition. The Organizers would like to take this opportunity in thanking all 3 golf clubs for the excellent conditions of the courses & the assistance provided in making the event to run smoothly.
